Bringing the world together with tequila.

Before I led the global refresh for el Jimador Tequila’s brand, we had a chance to execute a campaign for the World Cup for them. Because the brand was in limbo, we collectively chose to take an animated approach for this work until our rebrand was completed.

With this campaign, el Jimador Tequila encouraged soccer fans around the world to celebrate their favorite soccer moments during the World Cup. We kicked off the campaign with a moment from legendary Mexican National Team player Luis “el Matador” Hernandez. I scripted and concepted the animated video that helped tell some of his favorite moments through the rivalry he had with his brother while encouraging fans to share their favorite soccer moments. We created a site for the campaign that captured and encouraged submissions, shared recipes specifically created for soccer, and more. The award-winning work was also featured in AdWeek.

Celebrate the Moment

We followed up the story of “el Matador” with another video inviting people to share their favorite soccer moments to win prizes. The work funneled fans to a website experience where they could share their moment in a variety of ways, get soccer-themed recipes and more.
